Alicja Kuczera, Chair of the GBC CEO Network, World Green Building Council, CEO Polish PLGBC

Graduate of the International Relations faculty at Warsaw University and Executive MBA at Coventry University. Sustainability was always in the field of her interest. As the CEO of Polish Green Building Council, Alicja is especially interested in two areas of sustainability: circular buildings and the process of building and construction sector decarbonization. Author of numerous reports and publications on green building and speaker at various conferences and events organized in Poland and abroad. In private life a happy mum, keen on travelling (has visited 81 out of 196 yet-to see countries), adores a healthy and eco lifestyle.

Dr. Alain ZARLI 

Managing Partner at R2M Solution and Secretary General of ECTP, the European Construction Technology Platform. He was formerly Head of the “Innovation Numérique pour la Construction” division at the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) in the “Technologies de l’Information et Diffusion du Savoir” department (Sophia-Antipolis - FRANCE), and European Affairs manager in CSTB.

His main fields of interest are Information and Communication Technologies (including programming languages and compilation, semantic modelling, rule-based languages and knowledge-based systems, distributed architectures, software components, and technologies for smart constructions) and their broad application to the Built environment and the Construction industry, in particular BIM and Digital Twin technologies. He has been the Project Coordinator of various European collaborative FP5, FP6, FP7 and H2020 projects.

He is in support since a long time of ECTP initiatives (the E2B cPPP, the “Energy & Efficient Buildings”, “Active Ageing & Design”, “Infrastructures & Mobility” and “Digital Built Environment” Committees) in roadmapping and impact assessment, and is now responsible of the Built4People Partnership under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme too. He has been acting as expert for the review of various European R&D projects on behalf of the European Commission and has been participating in the European Commission Advisory group for ICT Infrastructure for energy-efficient buildings and neighbourhoods for carbon-neutral cities. He has been acting as leader of the “Open Data” Action Group in the European Innovation Partnership Smart Cities and Communities (EIP SCC), and has contributed as expert to the EIP SCC Operational Implementation Plan, in particular in the “Sustainable District and Built Environment” Action Cluster. He is the organisers of various conferences in the past and present, including IEEE/ICE, CIB W78, ECPPM, as well as the series of ECTP conferences.

Coordinates Digital Transformation Department in construction company Mostostal Warszawa. He is a member of the management board of the association buildingSMART Poland. He is involved in European projects related to digitalization in construction sector.

Gintaras Vilda CEO of Manufacturing Innovation Valley, a director of enterprise “Smart Innovations”

He is an international innovation expert of Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. He is one of the pioneers of the "Industry 4.0" movement in Lithuania. He is actively involved in various international activities: he is a member of the high-level working group of the Manufuture platform and a board member of the Horizon Europe program "Made in Europe" partnership, which is coordinated by the EFFRA (European Association of Future Factories). His areas of expertise include Lithuanian science, technology and innovation policy, industrial digitization, industrial transformation, internationalization of innovation, European industrial strategy and vocational training, engineering, etc. Earlier G.Vilda also worked as Vice-Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Director of the Lithuanian Engineering Industry Association (LINPRA), Chairman of the Board of "Intechcentras", Coordinator of the Lithuanian Plastics Cluster.

Klaus Beetz CEO, EIT Manufacturing

Klaus looks back on more than four decades of industry experience in software and system engineering, including five years of international delegation to Eastern Europe. Building on degrees in mathematics and philosophy, he started his professional career in software engineering at Nemetschek AG, a leading information technology company in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) sector.

Over the years, he gathered extensive intercultural experience in numerous international projects involving multicultural cooperation, especially on the European level. Among other duties, he was a member of the board of trustees at the European Software Institute (ESI), member of the executive board of Digital Europe (DE), member of the DG Connect Advisory Forum (CAF), member of the steering group at the Eureka cluster” Information Technology for European Advancement” (ITEA) and member of board of the Alliance Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI).

He joined Siemens in 2002 and was heading a Global Technology Field with for the worldwide research and technology transfer of innovative engineering technologies for software intensive systems and digital technologies. From January 2020 to July 2023, Klaus was the CEO of EIT Manufacturing the Innovation Community within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
